Most standard panels require 8–12 hours of fasting (water is fine). Specific tests like Vitamin D or thyroid don't require fasting. We'll send you detailed prep instructions when your appointment is confirmed. Drink plenty of water and wear a short-sleeved or loose-fitting shirt.
Most standard panels are delivered within 24 hours of collection. Specialty tests like genetic panels or complex cultures may take 3–5 business days. Urgent processing (4-hour turnaround) is available for most tests at an additional fee. You'll be notified by email and in your portal the moment results are ready.
Absolutely. VIP Labs is fully HIPAA-compliant. Your health data is encrypted end-to-end, stored on SOC 2-certified servers, and never sold or shared with third parties. Only you and the clinicians you authorize can access your results. You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time.
We currently operate on a direct-pay model, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, many tests are FSA and HSA eligible. We provide itemized receipts that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Contact us for specific insurance compatibility questions.
Yes. Same-day appointments are available in most service areas, subject to technician availability. Book before 10am for best same-day slot selection. Next-morning appointments can be booked up to 11pm the night before. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance for guaranteed availability.
All VIP Labs phlebotomists are trained in advanced venipuncture techniques, including butterfly needle technique for smaller or rolling veins.
